Underglow privacy policy
Underglow ("the app") is made by Ringy. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Underglow apps for iPhone, iPad and Android and the Underglow web sampler at rin.gy/underglow/play.
The short version: Underglow doesn't collect, store or share your personal information. There's no account, no ads, and no analytics or tracking.
What stays on your device - Settings, favourites and recently played shows are saved on your device only. - Microphone (Live mode): if you turn on Live, the app listens to sound around you so the lights can react. The audio is analysed on your device in real time and is never stored or sent anywhere. The only exception is a video you choose to record, which is saved on your device. - Songs you import are processed on your device only. - Motion sensor: used on your device to tell whether the phone is lying screen-down or in your hand. Nothing is stored. - Videos you create are saved to your Photos or shared only when you choose to. - Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can switch them off in the app or in your device settings.
When the app uses the internet - Ringtones: the app reads Ringy's public ringtone catalog and plays ringtone audio and cover art from Ringy's servers. Like any web request, these servers receive standard technical information (such as your IP address) needed to deliver the files. Underglow doesn't attach any identifier to these requests. - Links to Ringy, the App Store or Google Play open those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Duo (two phones) Duo connects your phone directly to a nearby phone on the same Wi-Fi network. Only the phone's name in Duo and the show timing and control messages are exchanged between the two phones. Nothing goes through our servers.
Ratings and feedback The app may show your device's built-in rating prompt (run by Apple or Google). If you email us at help@rin.gy, we use your message only to reply.
Children Underglow doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.

The Underglow pages use no advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider receives ordinary request information, such as your IP address, to serve and secure these pages.
