Is Underglow free?
Yes. No ads, subscriptions or account. Underglow includes a promotion for Ringy.
How does my phone become a light strip?
Choose a show, turn up the brightness and lay your phone screen-down on a safe, stable surface. Bright bands around the screen cast colour onto the surface.
Do I need two phones?
No. Originals work on one phone. Duo is optional: both phones need the Underglow app and the same Wi-Fi network.
Does Live mode record me?
Live mode analyses sound on your device. It does not store or upload microphone audio, except as part of a video you choose to record and save on your device.
What if I am sensitive to flashing lights?
Shows contain bright and flashing lights. Avoid high-energy shows if you or anyone nearby is sensitive to flashing lights. Reduced flashing is available in Look. Stop using the app if you feel unwell.
Does it work on iPhone Duo?
Yes. Use it edge to edge, closed and screen-down, or half-open like a book.
Where do I get the ringtones?
Get ringtones in the Ringy app. Underglow adds light shows to the sounds.
